Indian Association Umm Al Qwain along with the emirate’s Department of Health is offering free vaccination for resident Indians above the age of 18. Visit visa holders are not eligible for the said offer.
Those interested have to register their names through Whatsapp (050-2274702, 052-9134569). Emirates ID is mandatory to avail the vaccination.
Indian Association UAQ has been serving Indians in the emirate and rest of UAE for the past 40 years. Sajjad Saheer Nattika is the present President of the association.
Consular services are provided at the IA UAQ premises every alternate Friday. Officials from the consulate address the consular needs of the Indian community from 3pm onwards.

At a function in Sharjah last week, Indian association Vice President YA Rahim distributed MVR memorial awards instituted in memory of former Minister late MV Raghavan. The award for outstanding mediaperson went to Mathrubhumi Senior Reporter Saneesh Nambiar and best social worker to Shobhana George. Some of the distinguished guests who participated in the function online were State Minister Kadakampalli Surendran, Kadannapally Ramachandran, K. Sudhakaran MP, media personalities Johnny Lukose and M.V. Nikeshkumar.
