Father’s school, taught by mother, daughter secures the first rank

 

In Telangana, a  school run by a Malayalee records 100% success. The owner’s daughter, who studied in the school secured 1^st rank. The ambition of Swati Priya, who excels in academics and non-academic subjects, is to become a doctor.

 

Hyderabad: A Malayalee family and their daughter who got the first rank in 10th is the talk of the town now. A teacher named Anil Singh, a native of Takazi, who started a Kerala school where only Telugu is spoken, is proud of his daughter’s success.

Physics teacher Anil Singh and English teacher CK Sheena are delighted with their school’s record success. All those who appeared in the 10th class examination have come out with flying colors. Their daughter, who was also a student has secured the first rank in the state with ten grading points.

 

Parents from distant villages are enrolling their children in Kerala High School where unlike many other schools English medium syllabus is taught with low fees. Anil Singh who started a school in a small building on a rented land twenty years ago does not consider education as a business.

 

The school  was started from a low level and now has become a  good high school. He is married to Sheena, an English teacher from  Changanassery who joined Anil’s Kerala High School after her marriage.

The world of knowledge started by Anil, a science teacher, and Sheena, an English teacher, is educating the children of  a village called Mallapur in Telangana.

Mallapur  is 270 km away from the capital Hyderabad,  is a village where only farmers live. The school is situated in a place called Newdhamarajpalli, a remote place in the Mallapaur constituency.

There are two government schools in this village. But Kerala High School is the only school in that area with English medium syllabus.

People of the area are aware that most of the  Malayalees are educated and that the state of Kerala is famous for its high literacy level. Hence Anil Singh’s school with eighteen teachers and around five hundred students has a good name in the neighboring villages. Although there are a handful of Malayalee children, most of the  students are Telugu-speaking children. Anil Singh has taught his children to read and write Malayalam. His wife Sheena teaches Malayalam to in her spare time as part of the Malayalam Mission project. Swati Priya had reached e the finals of the Malayalam Mission Competition conducted by GS Pradeep in Telangana. Anil- and Sheena’s second child, Devpriya, is studying in the same school in fifth standard. Both Anil and Sheena opine that  their daughter’s success is due to systematic studies. She  used to get good grades in all subjects from her childhood. Swati Priya is brilliant in extra-curricular subjects as well as in studies. She is a  black belt holder  in karate. After passing the 10th standard, Swati Priya has  joined Plus Two at Good Shepherd School in Changanassery Tengana, near her mother’s house, taking Science and Maths as optional subjects.
