Etihad launches 49-hour national day sale

Etihad Airways, the national airline of the UAE with its hub in Abu Dhabi, has launched a 49-hour national day sale. Prospectiv travellers can make a AED 49 deposit and pay nothing until 21 days before the scheduled trip.

Travellers can jet off any time before 30 September 2021 for less, and can head to relax at a luxury resort, explore ancient architecture or spend the weekend discovering a new city.

The sale extends across all of Etihad’s cabins. With Etihad Holidays, travellers can enjoy three-night package deals including Etihad Airways’ flights and accommodation in a four or five-star hotel in Cairo, Athens and Maldives.

Those wanting to stay closer home can choose from an array of staycation deals in the UAE. One night offers are available from as little as AED 149, including breakfast, at a wide range of hotels across Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

Travellers can rest assured that complimentary date or destination changes are permitted for bookings.

The sale started at 9am on 11 November 2020 and ends at 10 am on 13 November 2020 at etihad.com. Deposits cannot be refunded. Holiday packages terms and conditions apply.

A leaner organisational structure

On November 8, Etihad had announced a new organisational structure to meet the challenges of the global downturn in aviation in the wake of COVID-19.

The restructuring sees the airline continuing its transformation into a mid-sized, full-service carrier concentrating on its fleet of widebody aircraft, with a leaner, flatter and scaleable organisational structure as the world returns to flying.

The new operational model will result in a number of changes to the executive leadership team to streamline the organisational structure.
