Dubai Residents Can Now Get Driving Licences Delivered in Just 2 Hours

Dubai: In a major upgrade to its licensing services, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has introduced four new delivery options to suit varying levels of urgency, including a premium two-hour service for residents within the emirate.

Under the new service, Dubai residents can receive their driving licences or vehicle registration cards within just two hours by opting for the Premium Delivery service, priced at Dh50—the fastest available option.

For customers in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah, the RTA is offering a Same-Day Delivery service for Dh35, ensuring documents reach users within the same day of processing.

Residents in other parts of the UAE can choose the Standard Delivery option, which ensures next-day delivery at a cost of Dh20.

In addition, the RTA has rolled out an International Delivery service for Dh50, catering to frequent travellers and UAE residents temporarily abroad. This option facilitates the global delivery of essential documents such as driving licences and international driving permits.

All services are accessible via the RTA’s online licensing platform, where users can select from the following options based on their location and the urgency of their request:

  • Premium (Dubai only): Delivery within 2 hours – Dh50
  • Same Day (Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah): Delivery on the same day – Dh35
  • Standard (UAE-wide): Delivery by next day – Dh20
  • International: Worldwide delivery – Dh50

The availability of each option depends on the time of booking and the specific delivery location.
