Dubai: In a gesture underscoring the values of integrity and community partnership, the General Department of Criminal Investigation at Dubai Police has honoured Marion Kaljon, a tourist from Estonia, for her commendable act of returning a piece of gold jewellery she found in a popular tourist area.
Brigadier Khalfan Obaid Al Jallaf, Director of the Tourist Police Department, presented Kaljon with a certificate of appreciation, praising her integrity and strong sense of civic duty.
“This act exemplifies the values of honesty and cooperation that we strive to promote within our community,” said Brigadier Al Jallaf.
The recognition ceremony was also attended by Lt. Col. Muhammad Abdulrahman, Deputy Director of the Tourist Police Department, and Captain Shehab Al Saadi, Head of the Tourist Happiness Section.
According to officials, Kaljon promptly reported the lost item and handed it over to the Tourist Police, demonstrating a high level of ethical conduct and public responsibility.
Brigadier Al Jallaf emphasised that honouring such actions is part of Dubai Police’s broader mission to foster positive social values, strengthen community trust, and encourage public participation in ensuring safety and security.
“Stories like these serve as powerful reminders of the role each individual can play in building a safe, respectful, and cooperative society,” he added.
