Dubai: Dubai Police recognized 66 exemplary drivers during the seventh edition of the “Safe Driving Stars” initiative, organised by the General Department of Transport and Rescue. The initiative celebrates Dubai Police personnel who have maintained impeccable driving records, free from traffic accidents and violations.
The awards ceremony took place at the Dubai Police Officers’ Club, in collaboration with Majid Al Futtaim, Abu Dhabi National Insurance Company, and Genesis. The event was attended by senior police officials, including Major General Harib bin Mohammed Al Shamsi, Acting Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, alongside assistant commandants, department directors, and initiative partners.
Major General Al Shamsi, joined by Major General Abdullah Ali Al Ghaithi, Assistant Commandant for Operations Affairs, and Major General Rashid Al Falasi, Director of the General Department of Transport and Rescue, honoured winners across several categories.
Dubai Police also honoured top users of the “I-Serve” service, which incorporates self-driving vehicles:
The ceremony concluded with appreciation for sponsors including Majid Al Futtaim, Abu Dhabi National Insurance Company, Meela International – Karji Perfumes, Dar Al Hay Gents Tailoring, Morning Glory Health Club, and Pit Stop Vehicle Services.
Major General Al Shamsi commended the honourees for their dedication to traffic safety, underlining the initiative’s role in promoting adherence to road regulations and fostering a culture of responsible driving. He reaffirmed Dubai Police’s commitment to recognizing excellence and encouraging innovation within the force.
