According to reports, complainant Pankaj Agarwal had visited the restaurant in Delhi’s Connaught Place with his friends and had ordered Sambar Dosa there. Video footage of the incident has now become a huge viral in the social media. In the video, the man can be seen showing the dead lizard in his spoon and the half-eaten dosa is kept in the background.

In the video, he can be heard yelling at the staff saying that half of the lizard is missing. Few other people present there asked the complainant to take a photo of the menu card so that the restaurant’s name is visible.

Following the shocking incident, Pankaj registered a complaint against the restaurant. An investigation in the matter has started already. Delhi police has sought the details of the cook, restaurant staff and ingredients used to make sambar as well as restaurant license.

Saravana Bhavan restaurant in Delhi is considered the largest vegetarian restaurant chain in the world, with 39 outlets in the country and 87 joints abroad. It was founded in Chennai in 1981.
