Coronavirus will end on this date, predicts Bill Gates

As the coronavirus pandemic continues to wreak havoc in the United States, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates has predicted a possible time in which the virus will be contained. According to Gates, the world could return to semi-normal by summer 2021, but the complete end of the pandemic will happen only in 2022.

Bill Gates made these remarks while talking exclusively to Fox News. During the talk, Gates revealed that the United States has failed to contain the pandemic effectively. He also added that countries like Australia and South Korea are doing outstanding efforts to curb the spread of coronavirus.

“The end of the epidemic? Best case is probably 2022. But during 2021, the numbers – we should be able to drive them down if we take the global approach. So, you know, thank goodness vaccine technology was there, that the funding came up, that the companies put their best people on it. That’s why I’m optimistic this won’t last indefinitely,” said Gates during the talk.

According to the latest statistics, there are more than 7.3 million coronavirus positive cases in the United States, and the death toll has already crossed 2,00,000.

Medical experts believe that the delay in the rolling out of an effective vaccine could make the condition even worse, and it could compel several world countries to introduce stringent lockdown measures.
