The woman, who was on her way home after work, hired the auto from Vazhikkadavu on Thursday evening at around 7.30 pm. As per the complainant, Jaleesh Jaleesh took a detour from the normal route and arrived at Irulkunnu where she was subjected to sexual assault.
Malappuram: An auto driver was arrested for sexually assaulting a woman here in Vazhikkadavu on Thursday. Marutha native Jaleesh Babu (41) was by Vazhikkadavu police for sexual assault.
The woman, who was on her way home after work, hired the auto from Vazhikkadavu on Thursday evening at around 7.30 pm. As per the complainant, Jaleesh Jaleesh took a detour from the normal route and arrived at Irulkunnu where she was subjected to sexual assault.
The woman filed a complaint with the police following this and a special team registered a case and started investigation. The accused who was produce before the court was later remanded
