Appu N Bhattathiri shares exclusive details about Kunchacko Boban’s Nizhal

It has been recently reported that debutante Appu N Bhattathiri is making a movie with Kuchacko Boban and Nayanthara in the lead roles. The film is titled Nizhal, and the film went on floors on October 19, at Kalamassery, Cochin.

In a recent interaction with Metro Plus, Appu unveiled some exclusive details about Nizhal. Appu revealed that Nizhal is a mystery thriller, and added that more details regarding the movie’s storyline could not be divulged now.

“The film has powerful male and female leads. Chackochan was finalized for his role at the beginning itself. It was he who suggested having Nayanthara on board. That thought had never crossed our mind because it didn’t seem to be a possibility. The role indeed required someone like her, thanks to the connect she has made with the audience through her multiple strong characters,” said Appu.

Making special reference to David Fincher’s movies such as SE7EN and Zodiac, Appu Bhattathiri claimed that his new movie will be a fresh thrilling experience to the audiences.

During the talk, Appu revealed that he was actually passionate about cinematography in the initial days, but later, he switched his attention to filmmaking.

The 31-year-old filmmaker kickstarted his career as an assistant director in the movie ‘Second Show’. As an editor, Appu has won the Kerala State Film Award for his works in ‘Ottamurivelicham’ and ‘Veeram’.
