Android Kunjappan Version 5.25 was a blockbuster at the Mollywood box-office, and the performance in this movie helped Suraj Venjarammoodu to win the State Award in the Best Actor category. Ratheesh Balakrishnan Pothuval who directed this movie also won the State Award for Best Director.

And now, several media reports reveal that the movie is going to be remade in Tamil soon. According to reports, veteran Tamil filmmaker K S Ravikumar is planning to remake the movie soon. However, Ravikumar has not given any confirmation about this plan.

Android Kunjappan portrayed the story of emotional bonding between an old man and a robot named Kunjappan. The film impressed the audiences with its realistic story-telling style, and Ratheesh’s uncompromising cinematic language.

In the meantime, it was recently reported that the Telugu version of Android Kunjappan, titled Android Kattappa is going to have its release soon.

On the work front, Ravikumar’s previous movie to hit the theaters was the Telugu flick Ruler, which had Nandamuri Balakrishna in the lead role. The film was a mass masala entertainer, but it failed to impress the audiences, and emerged as a box-office flop.

As an actor, K S Ravikumar will be next seen in the movie Cobra, which has Vikram in the lead role. The film, touted to be a supernatural thriller is directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu.
