Abu Dhabi urges pet shops to abide by the rules

Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi City Municipality, through the Municipal Services Sector – Animal Welfare Department, has urged pet shop owners and workers to ensure they follow the regulations and systems related to the acquisition, sale and shelter of pets in accordance with the Animal Welfare Law.

The Animal Welfare Department team visited a number of shops with the aim of educating the owners about the requirements for selling animals, the importance of providing a healthy and safe environment, providing health and veterinary care, and observing human values related to animal welfare.
