These days wearing mask is the new normal. Health experts believe that wearing masks and maintaining social distancing are the only solutions to save one from coronavirus. Hence a local Urdu daily,Roshini, in Jammu Kashmir’s Srinagar took it as a social responsibility to increase awareness about coronavirus precautions.

In a pleasant surprise for their readers, the daily is giving readers a free face mask, pasted on the front page of the newspaper along with a subtext saying, ‘Using mask is important’.

Many took the social media to appreciate the novel idea of the publisher.

The editor of the newspaper Zahoor Shora said that this idea was a good way of making the readers understand the importance of wearing a mask as it is important at this pandemic time to send out this message to the public.
