ABU DHABI: Four days remain until the end of the two-month amnesty. that the UAE allowed illegal residents to leave the country with impunity. The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) and the Dubai General Directorate of Residency _for Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) have repeatedly demanded that foreigners who are in the country as law breakers should legalize their stay or leave the country within 31 days.
Those who go home using the amnesty can return anytime with a new visa. At the same time, he warned that no more amnesty will be extended and if he is caught in the strong inspection that will be conducted from November 1, he will be banned for life and deported. Amer Customer Happiness Director Colonel Salim Bin Ali said that those caught in this way will have to pay the full fine for illegal stay. He also demanded that the process be completed as soon as possible without waiting for the last minute.
There are also private companies at the amnesty center in Dubai Aweer to provide employment to amnesty beneficiaries. Applicants are selected through direct interview. Visa changes will be
made soon. Those who have overstayed their visas, absconded from their sponsors, children born in the UAE without documents, and those who have completed legal proceedings and settled the case can avail the amnesty benefit.
Applications
can be made at the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) centers in Al Dhafra, Swaihan, Al Makham and Al Shahama and authorized typing centers in Abu Dhabi. Applications can be made at the Amnesty Center in Aweer, Dubai or at 86 Amer service centers across the emirate. In other emirates, applications should be made at ICP centres. Meanwhile, the Indian Consulate will remain open today from 8 am to 5 pm to assist applicants as the amnesty is about to end.
